Today we’ll be looking at a fragrance from the House of Parfums Dusita called Le Pavillon D’Or.
Parfums Dusita is a relatively new House being established in 2016 by Pissara Umavijani, one of the very few Asians that have managed to get a foothold in the fragrance industry.
The House currently has 15 perfumes all created by Pissara and Le Pavillon D’Or is one of the earlier creations introduced in 2019.
Primarily an oak forward fragrance, it opens with freshness from orris root, mint and honeysuckle, transitioning to a mild spicy greenness from fig leaf, thyme and olibanum.
At the base is where this fragrance shines with a commanding woodiness of oak and sandalwood.
This is a refined and joyous fragrance that would suit both men and women.
Performance is fairly average but nothing to complain about.
Mostly suited for day wear in both casual and professional settings but may be a little light for formal evening events.
This is quite reminiscent to Jo Malone’s English Oak & Hazelnut but this is more dense and multi-faceted.
