Santolina. St. John's Wort. Cypress. Three notes that you don't see often in the notes breakdown of fragrances. These are the three leading notes in Wild, the 2014 offering from the now discontinued house of Dsquared2.
Opening a little chemically and harsh, it quickly turns softer and mildly sweet from the Santolina plant which is part of the chamomile tribe. The St.John's Wort, which is often used to treat depression and anxiety provides a calm and relaxing embrace from the mid opening right through to the deep mids.
Great fresh everyday wear with quite a lot of Iso E Super coming through, it has moderate performance but good enough to get through a good part of the day.
It's a shame that this is no longer in the market.
